This week's episode is all about Socialism, or rather, the Right Wing's bogus claims that the modern day Democratic Party is Socialist. (We're not, by the way.)

So give it a listen. And be sure to subscribe to the program on Itunes!

Sunday, in WICHITA, Kansas, a doctor named George Tiller was shot and killed while walking into his morning church services.

I am going to assume that this assassination wasn't carried out due to a lovers quarrel, or a failed financial dealing, but because Dr. Tiller performed abortions, and was kind of vocal about it. As it turns out, everyone on the planet has heard about this guy but me.

Was he controversial? Oh hell yes. He performed Late Term Abortions, and was a little sketchy about getting the legally required second opinions, and had been taken to court a few times about it. The degree to which his legal troubles were politically motivated is debatable, as this is Kansas, and Kansas isn't exactly San Francisco.

But that is the state of things for the Abortion Providers in the United States. Dr. Tiller, or "Tiller the Baby Killer" as he is so charmingly referred to by right wingers, had long been a target of harassment. A daily vigil was kept outside the his clinic, Women's Health Care Services, in Wichita. And I assume this is no candlelight vigil, but rather a permanent protest, where women who are trying to get a little medical care get screamed at, and threatened with hellfire, and traumatized by the crowds gathered around the cordoned off area.

Well, as the reconstruction continues, I will be adding some things to the site. By the end of today or tomorrow, for example, I will have a comment section for each article up, provided that I don't get a massive case of lazy and blow it off. We are also hoping to add a few other fun things as time goes on, though I can't for the life of me think of what they might be at the moment.

Also, we expect to have a Episode 2 of BrainPan Radio up Monday.

And most importantly we are also proud to announce that Mr. Chris Peterson has joined the production staff of the program, so now some of the things I say may actualy be true, and even, God willing, produced and sourced in a vaguely professional manner. So let's all welcome Chris to the family! He's a great guy, and is working for nothing, at least until I can figure out how to make money yelling about how much the Right Wing pisses me off.

So strap in America! Because things are going to get interesting. Maybe. Or not. We'll see I guess.

Oh, and still no Internet Explorer support for the site. It's doesn't play well with the other children. It is a special needs browser, so lets be sure be nice to it.
