In the wake of a weirdly devastating loss to GOP Sex Kitten Scott Brown in the race to fill Ted Kennedy’s senate seat, ending the pretend super majority that has been a ridiculous exercise in group delusion since the 2008 elections wrapped up, my beloved liberals were sent reeling. How could this have happened, we said to ourselves? Could it be because we’ve been complete pussies for more than a year? Then they cried, and whined, and found a way to behave like even bigger pussies. Is there anyone in this party who will take these people on? Someone who can sit both sides down and remind them that they are legislators, and not insolent children? Is there anyone who can play Rocky to the Right’s Apollo Creed? There may be. And his name is Barack Obama.
