Over the past year Democrats have been engaged in a Don Quixote-esque attempt to reform health care in this country. This effort has been stymied at every possible turn, proudly, some would say proud to the point of obscene arrogance, by conservatives. They have laid out their counterarguments strategically, and like any well designed work of science-fiction, their claims have been at the same time fantastic, marginally plausible when only viewed superficially, and an engaging look into the minds of its authors. Unfortunately, 45,000 people a year still die from lack of health care. Good science fiction may be compelling, but it seldom saves people’s lives.  So this begs the question, why? Where is the compassion from the right? Is there any? We’ve looked at the minds of the GOP, but what of their hearts? This week on The Benjamin Phillips Show we take a look and see what we can find out. Also, what is up with the weird slavery references? We take a listen to some recent comments and try not to vomit.

So enjoy!
